I initially focused on my “Alphabet Adventures” series. Each week, I made a dish that started with the next letter of the alphabet, and I established the rule that it had to be either (a) something I had never attempted to cook before or (b) a recipe I created myself, if I had. By the time I reached “Z” and finished cooking my way all the way through the alphabet, I was hooked on blogging and decided to keep going!
In 2013, I was extremely fortunate to switch to blogging as my full-time job. Right around then, I put cooking on the back burner and concentrated almost exclusively on developing recipes for baked goodies — my true love! I eventually decided rethink my blog’s name to reflect that passion, and in 2014, I changed from灵魂的食物至艾米的健康烘烤.
My high school Health Class left quite a lasting impact on my approach to food! Ever since I completed that required freshman course, I’ve focused on creating healthier dishes —and甜食,我can eat on a regular basis without feeling guilty, greasy, or gross. Don’t get me wrong — I still lovechocolate donuts with rainbow sprinkles, saucythick-crusted pizzas, and beer-battered french fries! But I treat those as special indulgences instead of my daily dishes.
On Amy’s Healthy Baking, I publish almost exclusively lower calorie and lower fat recipes, with a large number of vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free options as well. In June 2015, I started posting moreclean eatingrecipes (ones without artificial or overly refined ingredients!).
